BASF and GO Pakistan sign MOU for research-based collaboration to improve fuel efficiency
Gas and Oil Pakistan and BASF has entered a partnership to help vehicles improve fuel efficiency and reduce the environmental impact. A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed in the presence of Mr. Zeeshan Tayyeb- Chief Operating Officer, GO Pakistan and Faisal Akhtar- Managing Director, BASF Pakistan. With this MOU, the two companies will use BASF’s wide range of additives for conventional fuel to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. In addition, both parties will exchange knowledge to serve local automotive customers in Pakistan better.

Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) and MAL Pakistan Ltd. signed an agreement wherein both companies will collaborate to develop an exclusive premium lubricants offer for the GO brand.
This will include marketing of ExxonMobil flagship Mobil 1 product range offer via the ever expanding GO fuel station network which currently stands at more than 650 retail outlets and is backed by one of the largest storage facilities in the country. GO is also the first company in Pakistan to introduce Electric Vehicle Chargers in Pakistan.

 The two companies will also collaborate to expand the GO retail network branding to fuel stations operated by AWT group fuel company.

 Mr. Khalid Riaz, CEO, GO and Khawar Jamal, CEO, MAL Pakistan signed the agreement on behalf of GO & MAL Pakistan. Zeeshan Tayyeb, Chief Operating Officer, GO and Ammar Ali, Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer, GO presented the GO profile and expansion plans. Brig. (R) Naeem Sarwar, GM Government Relations, GO and Nasir Ahmed, DGM Sales & Marketing, GO were also present at the occasion.

GO Inaugurates Mahmoodkot Terminal
On Oct 17, 2019, Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO), the fastest growing Oil Marketing Company (OMC) inaugurated its state-of-the-art terminal at Mahmoodkot, Punjab in the vicinity of PARCO Mid-Country Refinery which is the largest oil storage facility of any Oil Marketing Company (OMC) in Punjab. This is a massive addition to an already sizeable portfolio that GO has developed over the last few years, since its inception in 2015.

Amidst a glittering event, hosted at site, that was attended by almost 500+ distinguished guests including Bankers, Investors, Industrialists, Partners & Senior Petroleum business personalities, great moments of celebration were cherished.

Syed Jamal Baquar, SEVP & Group Chief Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG), National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), was the chief guest for the ceremony. Mr. Baquar, while addressing the Press and Audience congratulated GO, its leadership and partners on setting up this state-of-the-art largest oil storage facility in Punjab. He recognized GO’s contribution to the National building agenda and its CSR causes. He reassured leadership team of GO of NBP’s continued support. In his speech he also appreciated the GO business strategy and regarded it as an upcoming brand of choice for the consumers seeking Service Excellence and Quality Fuels. Mr. Baquar, who flew in from Karachi, also supported team NBP for investing, partnering in the OMC sector with GO and being part of the GO success model today and also for the long run.

GO, today has almost 500 retail outlets across Pakistan and progressively targeting almost 600 retail outlets till the end of 2019 across Punjab, Sindh, KPK and Balochistan.

Signing Ceremony SAP S/4 Hana Implementation
Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO), the fastest growing Oil Marketing Company (OMC) & Siemens come together for SAP S/4Hana Implementation which will cover the entire gamut of processes. Siemens will extend its services for the implementation as well as ongoing support & maintenance of the SAP ERP software.

 To celebrate the commencement of this project, a signing ceremony was held on Thu, Jan 17, 2019 at GO’s Corporate Office in Lahore. The ceremony was attended from GO by Bilal A. Ansari, Director / Board Member, Mr. Zeeshan Tayyeb, Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Afsar Aamer Ali Khan, Head of Finance, Mr. Zain Jaffery, DGM – Finance & Company Secretary, Mr. Muhammad Aslam, DGM – System Field Support & Training Operations, Mr. Zahid Nazeer, DGM – Banking & Cash Management & Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Senior Manager – IT and was attended from Siemens by Mr. Naukhez Arslan, Head of SAP, Ms. Sara Rahman, Manager – Sales & Mr. Abdus Samad, Manager – Projects.

 Mr. Arslan and Mr. Tayyeb signed the agreement on behalf of their respective companies. While investing in transforming its IT infrastructure, GO will make its business processes much more simplified, improve decision making procedures and pave the way for future innovations.

GO 400th Retail Outlet Inauguration
The inauguration of 400th retail outlet of Gas & Oil Pakistan Limited (GO) was held in Lahore on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Chung. Mr. Christopher Paul Bake – Director, Vitol, Chief Guest, graced the occasion with his presence. Mr. Mike Muller – Chief Business Development Officer for Vitol, Mr. Khalid Riaz – Chairman & CEO for GO, Mr. Shehzad Mubeen and Mr. Bilal A. Ansari, Directors for GO also attended the function.

 An impressive and traditional welcome ceremony was followed by ribbon cutting, plaque unveiling and a tree planting ceremony. Chief Operating Officer – Sales & Marketing, Mr. Haroon Asghar along with other dignitaries took the Chief Guest on a round of the retail outlet.

 Chief Operating Officer for GO, Mr. Zeeshan Tayyeb welcomed the distinguished guests and spoke about GO’s vision and future plans. Mr. Paul Bake also addressed the gathering, congratulating the company on achieving this milestone and assured the management of Vitol’s continuing commitment to GO and Pakistan.

 The ceremony was given wide press coverage by the Electronic and Print Media.

 The event concluded with presentation of mementos and gift hampers followed by lunch.

Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) donated Rs. 12 million to Diamer-Bhasha & Mohmand Dam
To tackle the worst-ever water crisis, Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) has donated Rs. 10 million, plus 3 days salary of its employees, accumulating to a total of Rs. 12 million towards the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Fund Account-2018.

During a hearing last week, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar had observed that water resources were crucial for survival and directed the authorities to take immediate and effective measures to build two dams — Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand. Furthermore, the apex court had appealed to the general public, including Pakistanis residing abroad, to donate for the cause.

Being a responsible entity, GO believes it is their national duty to rise up to the occasion and decided to provide a helping hand in this great initiative taken by the CJP.

Safety Day
Safety Day was observed on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 across GO Offices and Locations. To ensure continuation of Safety Culture right from beginning of the year, the theme for Safety Day remained same this year also “ SAFE START – SAFETY THROUGHOUT”. This was approximately an hour’s exercise in which all Employees including the Senior Management and Contractors assembled at one place at Lahore and Karachi Offices, Sahiwal and Daulatpur Terminals and at all Locations from where GO Tank Trucks are filled up. Safety Day banners were displayed at all locations. Operational activities were suspended at Terminals and all other filling locations for the duration of the Safety Day activities as Cartage Contractors and their Drivers were invited to participate in the activities.

It was a day for sharing ideas and good practices, for working in teams on plans to deliver continuous improvement in safety performance and to reflect on our personal and collective commitment to safety.

GO Logistics Marketing Road Show

“A ceremony was held at Port Qasim, Karachi on the start of Logistics – Marketing Roadshow on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from where a convoy of 25 GO branded tank trucks started their journey to Machhike near Lahore covering a distance of 1,385 kms with stopovers at Daulatpur, Rahimyar Khan, Burewala & Sahiwal where Customer Engagement Sessions were held, displaying GO’s commitment of having the capability of serving customers with on time supply and on specifications products”.

“The closing ceremony of Logistics – Marketing Roadshow was held at Machhike near Lahore organized by Gas & Oil Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. (GO) on October 24, 2016 where a convoy of 25 GO branded tank trucks ended its journey. This convoy started its journey from Karachi on October 20, 2016 with stopovers at Daulatpur, Rahimyar Khan, Burewala & Sahiwal where Customer Engagement Sessions were held, displaying GO’s commitment of having the capability of serving customers with on time supply and on specifications products”.
